The American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor course, will prepare you to teach, evaluate, test and certify health care professionals in the following skills:

  • High-quality BLS for adults, children, and infants

  • Use of an AED

  • Effective ventilation using a barrier device

  • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction for adults, children, and infants

  • High-performance teams

Prerequisites To Taking The BLS Instructor Course

  • Be at least 18 years of age or older.

  • Hold a current AHA BLS certification. If you are not currently certified in BLS and meet the above prerequisites, you can register for one of our BLS classes here.
